Salary: £25,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
SR Technology Innovations requires an electronics design engineer to deliver existing projects and to assist in the design of new products. The work will involve the requirements specification and development of embedded hardware solutions for vehicle control systems, data acquisition and other embedded electronics products.
Activities will include a significant level of research and development, system simulation and product design through to electronics manufacture. The role will involve functional safety analysis, design and validation. We also expect the successful candidate to contribute to the development of our in-house systems and processes for electronics product design. A willingness to work closely within a multidisciplinary team and liaise with clients is essential.
The job will be based primarily at our office in Langley Moor, although some home working may be possible. Future travel may be required to visit clients, deliver projects and represent the company at events
Suitable candidates will hold a high grade degree (or equivalent) in electronics engineering or a related technical subject. They will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of engineering principles and provide evidence of electronics design and development experience from requirements specification through to manufacture.
Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently and keen to learn new skills. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well with people from other technical disciplines are vital.

SR Technology Innovations (SRTI) develops electronics, software and engineering solutions, relating primarily to vehicle applications. We focus on electro-mechanical systems, new drivetrain developments, bespoke test systems, data acquisition and digital communications technologies.
SRTI is equipped for both electronics and mechanical design projects, with electronic test equipment, an engine/motor test cell and an engineering workshop with in-house CNC machining capability. Our vehicle projects have covered both electric and hybrid vehicle developments and also work with alternative fuels. Digital communications projects have included implementation of V2X protocols and remote vehicle data acquisition.
The company currently employs a very small team, with a mix of full-time and part-time staff. We are expanding to deliver existing client projects and accelerate the development of the company’s own product portfolio.
